Colorado educators who teach personal finance, grades preK-12, in any manner can participate in free or low-cost professional development opportunities provided by JumpStart partners.
2019 JumpStart National Education Conference
November 1-3, 2019 - Washington DC
This national convention is open to U.S. Pre-K through 12th grade classroom educators who teach personal finance or incorporate it into any subject. It is an all-scholarship event, meaning no registration fees for teachers. To attend the conference, teachers must apply for a scholarship. Scholarship applications are due August 20, 2019.
Of scholarship recipients, the Colorado JumpStart Coalition will reimburse travel expenses for five Colorado teachers.

Through demonstrations and hands-on activities acquire the knowledge and develop the skills you need to bring personal finance to your students. Attendees will break into grade bands to become familiar with the 2018 Colorado Academic Standards for personal financial literacy.
Receive 6.5 hours continuing education and $100 stipend for attendance. Travel stipends are available for teachers traveling more than 75 miles to attend the class.
These state workshops are part of the Colorado -12 Personal Financial Literacy Initiative sponsored by the Colorado Office of the Attorney General in partnership with the Colorado JumpStart Coalition, Colorado Department of Education, and Economic Literacy Colorado.
