The purpose of the Colorado Jump$tart Coalition is to improve the quality of life in Colorado by improving the financial capability of pre-kindergarten through college-age youth by providing young people with tools to succeed with money, including budgeting, earning, spending, saving, investing and credit. We are a not-for-profit, Section 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. We have joined together to improve the personal financial literacy of Colorado youth by:

  • Raising awareness of the importance of personal financial literacy and available resources
  • Coordinating and promoting communication and cooperation among coalition members
  • Offering professional development in personal financial literacy for Colorado Educators
  • Supporting personal financial literacy education initiatives

Our members are individuals and organizations who recognize and support the lifetime benefits of personal financial education, including teachers, corporations, CPA's, banks, credit unions, not-for-profits, and school administrators. Benefits of membership include:

  • Networking with others who are committed to improving financial education
  • Gaining insight on national and state-wide efforts and issues in youth financial education
  • Publicizing efforts to the personal finance education community
  • Collaborating with the movers and shakers in the arena of personal finance
  • Listing in Jump$tart promotional materials, including Resource Guide
  • Exhibiting opportunities at five major educator conferences without having to attend
  • Accessingeducators via Fiscal Fitness Workshop
  • Obtaining referrals of volunteers, media inquiries, and funding information
  • Sitting at the table with like-minded, dynamic individuals who are passionate about personal financial literacy
  • Participating at the officer and board level (eligibility)
